With over four decades of experience in law enforcement, Mike brings a deep understanding of community dynamics and the critical importance of public safety.

He has worked the streets as an Officer, and a Patrol Sergeant.

He has been promoted to Detective and to Detective Sergeant.
​
He is very experienced in working for larger and smaller agencies and has an understanding of what works and what doesn't.

Mike has 22 years experience as a Law Enforcement supervisor. He is the ONLY candidate with Law Enforcement supervisor experience.

Mike is a graduate of the Babson College Law Enforcement Command Staff Training course. With this certification, he has been in charge of police divisions.
​
He has been a past police union president, so he knows how to handle workplace issues.

Mike is the ONLY candidate that has full time law enforcement certification. with full arrest powers. The other candidates are only part time certified, which means they have limited authority and must have a full time officer to supervise them in felonies and other serious incidents.

Mike has been trained to work in an administrative supervisor role and is experienced in making and administering multi million dollar public safety budgets.

Mike was designated as the supervisor in charge of training and was sent to numerous schools to pass on information. He is known as an excellent trainer for law enforcement and teaches classes nationwide and has done so for several state Police Academies.

As a member of the Law Enforcement Commission for my town, we held discussions on the services the residents wanted versus the services the residents received. This disconnect is what drove me to run for Sheriff.Â
